In anticipation of the first Kimpton De Witt hotel in Europe, an artwork was commissioned to mask the rebuilding site. The hoarding is 2,20m high and 67,5m long.
The artwork shows lots of flowers and foliage growing and unfurling, referring to something new, to life and beauty.
The illustration was handmade using pencil only and later reproduced and printed onto a vinyl surface. It was an honour creating something of this size and to become a part of daily life at the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam.
